Activities :

For the first year operation, The ITTO PD 396/06 Rev.2 (F) will conduct several activities as follows:

  1. Formulate the strategy for collaborative plantation forest management
  2. Drafting of the legal framework for the conflict resolution approach
  3. Develop practival mechanism of collaborative plantation forest  management (CFFM) based on relevant  legislative framework
  4. Organize workshop on the strategy of collaborative plantation forest management
  5. Disseminate the strategy of collaborative plantation forest management
  6. Carry out survey surrounding the assigned industrial forest plantation companies to select suitable areas for demonstration sites
  7. Carry out a socio-economic survey of the communities surrounding the commercial plantation forest company
  8. Carry out public consultation with and establish a forum consisting of stakeholders’ key persons
  9. Carry out dissemination of the strategy, legal framework and institution of the CPFM
  10. Carry out a participatory rural appraisal in the demonstration areas
  11. Carry out dissemination of the strategy, legal framework and institution of the CPFM
  12. Carry out a participatory rural appraisal in the demonstration areas
  13. Facilitate the local community to establish their local framework, organization and institution for CPFM
  14. Prepare and plan the demonstration areas
  • The recent activity are Formulate the strategy for collaborative plantation forest management and Drafting of the legal framework. Both of activities run by National Consultants those are Prof Elias (Formulate the strategy) and  Dr. Bambang Widyantoro (Drafting the legal framework).  After a series of work and survey, The NCs had successfully finished both activity and will recommend one area as a demonstration site at both province.
  • The ongoing activity is Develop practical mechanism of collaborative plantation forest management. National Consultant who responsible for this activity is Dr. Bambang Widyantoro.
